Year 5 pupils designed and made textile panels based upon Space, which they were covering in the curriculum.  The pupils began with little or no knowledge of sewing.  They designed their panel on paper, experimented with stitches and then decorated their panel using stitch and appliqué.  Each pupil made a panel; the panels were assembled into two hangings, one for each form in the year.
